The Teaching Mentorship

12-month advanced teacher development programme

Part Face to Face, Part Online

Dates: June 2027 - June 2028

A one-year training for teachers who want to go deeper. Eight places only.

This training is about teaching. It is for people who are sitting on the fence regarding their teaching or who are already teaching and want to grow.

You will deepen your own teaching practice, refine your language, your sequencing and the way you hold a room. And we will do it together, over a full year, so you can see yourself evolve as a teacher.

The group is small on purpose. Eight people means more support, more time for feedback and integration, regular contact with your mentor, deeper relationships and plenty of time to teach.

How the 300 hours are made up

Our main weekends together: Four weekends in person (Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday), the rest online. Dates below. In-person location will be the beautiful Kingsliff in NSW.

Weekly classes: Access to our membership for one year, commencing in June 2027. Six weekly live classes on offer. Two classes per week suggested.

Teacher Support Circles: Two hours, once a month together, to reflect, ask questions and share what is coming up for you. Once we have our little cohort, we will find a time that works for everyone.

Peer teaching groups: Twice a month, we will come together to practice and refine our teaching. You will get the opportunity to practice leading and facilitating.

Home study: Online modules for Advanced Meditation, Advanced Pranayama and Relational and Nervous System Aware, Trauma Infomred Training.

You will keep a simple journal through the year to record your practice, your teaching and your reflections. This will be very briefly viewed and signed off on our final weekend together.

Your monthly rhythm

Between gatherings, a normal month looks like this. Plan on about 4-5 hours a week made up from the following.

  • Monthly teachers circle (once we have our group, we will find a time that suits you)
  • Monthly teaching twice a month, supporting one another in leading and facilitating (once we have our group, we will find a time that suits you)
  • Weekly classes to support your home practice. Six online live weekly classes to choose from. 100hrs of classes to complete. We suggest two weekly classes. Alternatevly, you can join a retreat to log bulk hours (extra cost)
  • Home study. 1-3 hours per week.

Common questions

Do I need to be teaching already? You need a completed 200-hour training or be actively teaching. Teaching regularly will help you get the most out of the year, but it is not required. You will get plenty of opportunities to build your confidence teaching.

I don't live locally to the Gold Coast or Kingscliff. Can I still join? Yes. Most of the training is online. You would travel for four weekends across the year. Think of it as an opportunity to invest in yourself and retreat to a beautiful part of Australia to immerse in your teaching and practice.

Is there anyway I can complete more of this in-person? I prefer that way of learning rather than online. Yes, you need to log 100hrs of practice to recieve a certification. These can be made up in person by attending classes with your facilitators (at an extra cost). You can also join us on retreat to log bulk hours (extra cost).

How much will I actually teach? A lot. You teach in your peer group each month, and accross the full weekends when we come together.

How am I assessed? Through your teaching, your journal, and your participation.

What if I miss a session? Tell us early. We will give you a catch-up task. You need to complete all 300 hours to receive your certificate.

What does the weekly class commitment look like? About two one-hour classes a week, through your AYTT Membership. Each one counts toward your 100 hours. One years access commences in June 2027. You are welcome to start logging your hours as soon as you have registered.
