Gentle Hatha Yoga

Monday Nights

Throughout these classes, we will work and target different areas of the body (Legs + Hips / Arms + Shoulders / Core + Glutes / Spine). The class will be slow and steady with an alignment focus that nurtures all body types and limitations. They are designed to meet the needs of the complete beginner through to the more experienced practitioner. Teachers are encouraged to join to develop and refine their teaching skills.

What you will need: Yoga block or chair. Access to a wall. Bolster or two pillows or cushions.

Yin Yoga

Through this floor based, prop heavy, meditative practice, you will release built up tension, improve digestion and calm and clarify the mind. Each class will also focus on slow, deep stretching and nourishing of the connective tissues and joints. There will be an emphasis on stillness and surrender, allowing the body to achieve a deeper level of relaxation. During a couple of sessions, we will use a tennis ball for some deeper myofascial release.

What you will need: A tennis ball, a bolster (or a couple of pillows and a towel), two yoga blocks (or a couple of cushions) and a strap (or a scarf or tie).

Join us tol come together to sit, breathe and strengthen our ability to manage the inevitable stress that life can bring. You will gain insight as to whether you are living your days governed by the parasympathetic or sympathetic nervous system and learn tools to be able to drop more effectively into the relaxation response, where deep healing can take place. 
What you will need: Cushion to sit on or a chair if that's more comfortable for you.

In this online yoga philosophy session, Darci breaks down Yama, the very first limb of yoga, as taught in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. If you think you have mastered Yama, think again! We can always go deeper.

This 90 minute session is relatable and eye opening and welcomes people who are new to yoga and also those who are more experienced.
